Conservation Commission Minutes 08/03/10
Pursuant to Chapter 131, Section 40 MGL, the Tolland Conservation Commission will held public hearings on August 3, 2010, at Tolland Town Hall, 241 West Granville Rd, Tolland for the following purposes:

Minutes of the Conservation Commission’s August 3, 2010 Hearings and Meeting

Public Hearing opened at 6:30 p.m.

Members Present:
Alan Binder, Pamela Schettini, Sue Voudren & Valerie Bird

Others:
Joe Campanella and Eric Munson Jr.

1.  RDA submitted by Joseph Campanella, applicant seeks to do various site work in the buffer zone of Cranberry Pond; location 28 Meadow.
Information of note:  Applicant put in tight tank in January 2010 now needs to do landscaping.  Landscaping needs to be done including a wall.  Site plan submitted, work over septic to be done first.  
Motion to accept, 2nd and passed with Negative Determination unanimously

2.  RDA submitted by Town of Tolland, Highway Department, applicant seeks culvert replacement.
Information of note:  5 culverts to be done; silt fence to be used for the one Burt Hill Road.
Motion to accept, 2nd and passed with Negative Determination unanimously

3.  RDA submitted by Susan Campbell, applicant seeks to remove trees, replace footings and roof in buffer zone of Cranberry Pond, location 112 Brook Lane.
Information of note:  Eric Munson, Jr. represented Susan Campbell.  Placement of dumpster questioned; it will be as close to the house as possible.  Three trees need to be removed if they can be removed without equipment no silt fence will be needed.
Motion to accept, 2nd and passed with Negative Determination unanimously

4.  RDA submitted by Len Tillman.  Applicant seeks to replace piers on cottage in buffer zone of Cranberry Pond, location 93 Chipmunk Crossing.
Information of note:  Roland Goulet represented Len Tillman, he will be doing the work.  LeCasse will be doing the digging for the piers, no silt fence required.
Motion to accept, 2nd and passed with Negative Determination unanimously

Hearings was closed at 7:00 p.m.

Meeting was opened.

Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved.

There was no old business to discuss

New Business; Dates were set for the rest of the years meeting, noted on Calendar in Town Hall and Sue Voudren to update Web Calendar.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
